Healthcare consultants are professionals who recommend improvements in a health care industry based on the existing returns, efficiency, and organizational structure. They work either independently or for a firm. The job involves reviewing the available information on the problem in question, including revenue and number of workers in the industry, and using the information to suggest possible solutions to the problem by writing a report for the industry or client that sought the solutions. Depending on the client, consultants may be asked to offer assistance in the implementation of the report.
