Biasiswa Tunku Abdul Rahman (BTAR)

Biasiswa berprestij dan eksklusif ini ditawarkan kepada pelajar cemerlang dan berbakat kepimpinan yang tinggi. Ianya memberikan sokongan kewangan kepada bakal graduan yang mengikuti pengajian di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda di IPTA mahupun IPTS dalam negara. Penerima biasiswa ini digelar Tunku Scholars.

SYARAT-SYARAT PERMOHONAN
(a) Syarat Asas
(i) Warganegara Malaysia.
(ii) Umur tidak melebihi 25 tahun pada tarikh tutup permohonan.

(b) Syarat Kelayakan Akademi dan Ko-kurikulum
(i) Pelajar lepasan STPM / Asasi / Matrikulasi / Diploma* yang mencapai PNGK 3.50 dan ke atas.
(ii) Permohonan juga dibuka kepada bakal graduan yang sedang dalam pengajian sepenuh masa Ijazah Sarjana Muda di IPT tempatan yang (jika) berjaya mencapai minimum PNGK 3.50 dan tahun pengajiannya masih berbaki sekurang-kurangnya 2 tahun pengajian.
(iii) Kepujian tinggi dalam Bahasa Malaysia dan Bahasa Inggeris di peringkat SPM.
(iv) Memiliki ciri-ciri kepimpinan yang terserlah dan penyertaan yang yang aktif dalam aktiviti ko-kurikulum, terutamanya di peringkat luar sekolah atau universiti.

  • pemberian BTAR tertakluk kepada pemohon diterima masuk ke IPT tempatan dalam negara.

© Syarat Tambahan
Pemohon yang disenarai pendek akan dikehendaki mengikuti program Pemerhatian Ciri Kepimpinan dan hadir pada sesi Temuduga Pemilihan yang di aturkan oleh pihak YTAR.

KADAR BIASISWA
Kadar biasiswa adalah mengikut kadar yang berkuat kuasa semasa.

PENARAFAN PENERIMA BTAR
Bagi mengekalkan taraf prestij dan eksklusif biasiswa ini, mana-mana Tunku Scholar yang gagal mengekalkan pencapaian PNGK 3.50 ke atas boleh dikenakan penalti seperti turun taraf kepada skim Dermasiswa Tunku Abdul Rahman (DTAR) atau Pemberian Pengajian Tunku Abdul Rahman (PPTAR), atau ditamatkan pemberian dan gelaran ‘Tunku Scholar’ dilucutkan.

Tarikh permohonan dibuka : 1 Mac 2016

Tarikh permohonan ditutup : 15 April 2016

Hanya pemohon yang telah mengikuti Program Pemerhatian Ciri Kepimpinan sahaja akan dipanggil untuk temuduga pemilihan. Pemohon yang gagal adalah mereka yang tidak dihubungi selepas 3 bulan daripada tarikh tutup permohonan.

One of the sections in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship requires its applicants to fill in the university they’ll be attending…the problem is that we are not going to get any acceptance letters to IPTA by 15.04.2016, are we still allowed to apply?

You just fill in the university that you have applied.

Then let’s say if you get the BTAR scholarship offer, it is on the condition that you get accepted to that particular university.

If at the end of the day you are not admitted to that IPTA that you put during your application, BTAR scholarship offer is automatically cancelled.

Can I be a Tunku scholar and apply for ptptn loan?

The question would be why do you need to apply PTPTN loan when you already get biasiswa BTAR scholarship?

So, when current undergraduates who are ady aided by ptptn apply for btar, what would happen?
Are they also chosen based on needs and merits? And when they do become a Tunku scholar, are they still allowed to obtain financial support from ptptn as well?
p/s the V part of the application form got me thinking about this.

Let’s say you are already offered by PTPTN and currently already studying using PTPTN loan. Then one day you apply a scholarship let’s BTAR. When you are offered BTAR, you can choose to discontinue your PTPTN. You need to inform PTPTN either by going to its office or by formal letter and you can discontinue PTPTN. After you graduate, you only need to pay back PTPTN the amount of education loan that you have already received by the time you stop the PTPTN.

The pointer for matriculation program will be getting after the due date. How can we apply ?

Use your latest matriculation pointer that you have. You just apply by submitting the first choice of your course.
