How to concentrate in studies

Point one : You have to choose a right spot. For sure, you need to find a bright and comfy venue to read your own books. If you like to listen music while reading then you would like to play song which is soft and relaxing, so that will not interrupt your concentration. For example, do not study in front of television because you will just focus on your study when advertisement comes up. Choose a suitable and comfortable place to enhance your concentration in study.

Point 2 : Prepare everything you need in study Generally, pencils, pens, note book, highlighters are necessary tools for you while studying. So do put these useful tools within your hand’s distant so that you are not distracted by them. Besides, you may buy extra stationery to make sure you always have spare stationery to use when your stationery is out of ink so learn to prepare everything in advanced not last minutes.

Point 3: Have the right mindset

I tried this before and it really works! Imagine you are a SPM candidate this year and you have been scoring poorly in Physics and you really want to excel this subject in SPM. In the first place, you need to have this positive mindset and you must never give up no matter how difficult things may turn up. When you are doing revision, always ask yourself questions such as " How well do I want to score in SPM Physics at the end of the year?" or " How would I feel if I managed to score an A+ in Physics?". With questions like this, you will be able to concentrate better.

Point 4 : Take short breaks

After studying for 30 minutes, take a 5 minute break and do something different. You can try stretching yourself. Try to get back to your studying after the break; the break shouldn’t be longer than 20 minutes.

  • Why take a break?
Your brain needs time to recharge after it processes a bunch of information. In some studies, taking a break and walking around improved memory recall and simple test scores in subjects.
