How to write a resume

These are few simple steps for you to check while writing a resume

  1. Make your resume a quality document
  2. Write a skill-based resume
  3. Pitch your resume to meet your prospective employer’s needs
  4. Keep your resume short, relevant and specific
  5. Write your resume in plain language
  6. Write a hard-selling summary or profile
  7. Highlight your most relevant experience
  8. Write about your results
  9. Write a strong cover letter for your resume

Things to avoid at all costs when writing a resume, be it for a part time or full time job :
typos. Having typos shows that you lack attention for detail.
Grammatical errors. These errors highlight your incompetency in language and consequently communication.
Lack of specifics. Do not generalize because employers need to know exactly what your skills are.
