Scope of work: More commonly called computer forensics, it used to analyze cyber crimes. Specialists not only perform and conduct digital forensic examinations, they also help manage digital forensic laboratories. Other than preventing hacks,network forensic is used to properly investigate what happens. The examination and comparison of digitized numerals, images, digital audio and video are also needed.

Education & Training: Prospective candidates should possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information technology or software engineering. In Malaysia, there are programs that emphasize in digital, computer and media forensics as such in MSU.

Career Opportunities: There is a wide range of jobs available, especially in this age. Law enforcement agencies and companies employ alike. Some subsections are image analyst/examiner, audio analyst, video analyst, speech scientist and facial identification specialists. Many seek accreditation from various organizations too.
