So what is Questioned Documents in forensics really about?

Scope of work: Questioned document examination, also referred to as forensic document examination, is the branch of forensic science best known for the determination of authorship of signatures and handwriting but, in fact, involves much more comprehensive analyses of writing instruments, writing mediums, and office machine products. Called a document examiner, they analyse tests for the purpose of authorship of signatures, handwriting and hand printing.

Education and Training: Publish standards for training, in line with common practices used in the profession for many decades, require that forensic document examiners should have : corrected or natural vision of 20/20. no color blindness, a baccalaureate degree or higher in forensic science or related subjects and have completed a 24-month training program.

Career Opportunities: Forensic document examiners are employed in both the public and a private sector. In Malaysia, they are specially employed by Jabatan Kimia Malaysia.
