Still clueless to be a Charetered Public Accountant

I do really ‘craving’ to be a CPA but I’m still clueless on what am I doing right now. What is the different between MICPA, ICAEW and CPA Australia? Which one is the best that should I go through?

Not exactly sure what is your confusion as these three are professional accounting bodies in different countries. If you are planning to work your career in Malaysia, you should make sure that you join MICPA. In order to join the MICPA, you need to sit for the admitting exam. Same for others.

It really depends on your career planning on which country are you planning to work, for example, if you plan to be an accountant in Singapore, you need to join Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).

MICPA

is The Malaysian Institute Of Certified Public Accountants

ICAEW

is The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

CPA Australia

is one of three major professional accounting bodies in Australia, the others being the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants

Hmm… what if i have micpa certificate, and i wish to have another certificate ; icaew, and so on… can i do such thing??

@WahyuniRamli yes you can have as many certificates as you want, just that you need time to prepare for the admitting exams and to pay the fees for joining the different professional accounting bodies.

Some people do it because they plan to move to another country, for example if you are currently an accountant in Malaysia and already have MICPA but you plan to immigrate to Australia in the next few years so it is a wise decision to take CPA Australia while you are in Malaysia so that when you apply for the immigration you get advantage (like extra merit points) for better chance of successful immigration.
