SPM leavers, a lot of free time on your hands? Why not become a volunteer? At SPCA, you can help the workers out and provide the animals with love and care - why not?
To become a volunteer, you have to fill out an application form and drop it off personally.
You can assess the form online; it is downloadable from the SPCA’s official website.
What exactly does the work of a volunteer entail? There are actually a number of activities, and depending on the SPCA, you can actually make the choice yourself. A few examples would be as listed below:-
-socialising (playing) with the animals at the pound (cats & dogs)
-Bathing and grooming dogs
-Dog-walking
-Painting kennels and cattery / Cleaning
-Assist in any fundraising events/sales events etc.
-Assist in education program in schools( Language preferred Mandarin/ English/B.Malaysia)
-Animal fostering programme (note this is only temporary)
-Assist in the office (must have computer knowledge)
Hi @Dreams, did you volunteer for SPCA? I once was planning to volunteer for Zoo Negara but at last didn’t volunteer due to timing. I was being cheapskate actually, I was thinking to volunteer for Zoo Negara so that I didn’t have to pay the admission fee and could get in to watch the pandas hahaha!
Anywhere, here is the link to volunteer at Zoo Negara if you are interested: http://www.zoonegaramalaysia.my/volunteerprogram.html
You get certificate too! (in case that’s what you are after)
