Sure, you just need to check the entry requirements of psychology course and you will be able to know what are the specific STPM subjects needed to apply for the course.
There are many different psychology courses. Take for example, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) offers PSIKOLOGI INDUSTRI DAN ORGANISASI, PSIKOLOGI KAUNSELING and PSIKOLOGI KANAK-KANAK DAN KELUARGA. Each has slightly different specific requirements.
In order to get admitted into a specific course offered by a specific public university, you need fulfill the general requirement of the university AND the specific requirement of the course.
So say for example you plan to apply PSIKOLOGI KAUNSELING at UMS after you finish your STPM, you must fulfill the following minimum requirements:
SYARAT AM UNIVERSITI
Lulus Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Setaraf dengan mendapat kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia atau kepujian Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia Kertas Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah (SPM 2013 dan ke atas) dalam peperiksaan SPM.

Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.00 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya:
Gred C (NGMP 2.00) mata pelajaran Pengajian Am;
dan
Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam dua (2) mata pelajaran lain
dan
Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 1 (Band 1) dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
SYARAT KHAS PROGRAM
Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.50 pada peringkat STPM;

Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Kepujian (Gred C/6C) pada peringkat SPM dalam mata pelajaran berikut;

So back to your question, you need to make sure that you pass Pengajian Am with at least Gred C (NGMP 2.00) and get at least Gred C (NGMP 2.00) in any other STPM subjects. Make sure you sit for MUET too and check if your SPM results satisfy the minimum requirement.
Just a reminder that these are minimum requirements, in other words you can apply this course if you satisfy the minimum requirements. However, if for a specific year the course is very popular (because many STPM students with great results apply for it) then even if you meet the minimum requirements you might not be offered the course. This is because the course has limited spaces and it is offered to those with the best results (STPM + Koko marks) first before offering to applicants with poorer results.
